Home Made Projector
Synopsis:
Build a projector by combining an old overhead and a cheap LCD monitor.
Method:
I had seen some projectors made this way on the web and decided I could use one especially since I had a spare overhead. I bought the monitor for 90 bucks and swiftly unassembled it.
Once you remove the backlight panel LCD screens are actually transparent, then you just mount it on top of the overhead and keep a fan running to stop it from melting. It all depends on the kind of monitor you get and the one I got was a pain in the arse. More modern LCDs have a neater circuit board but this one has some annoying ribbon connectors than sometimes disconnect themselves, it works though.
I mainly use it to enlarge drawings for cutting stencils.
